Brilliant Parents in Local Authorities

The benefits of Triple P Positive Parenting courses are many and varied. Triple P supports parents/carers with confidence and skills, knowledge and understanding. Improved parenting skills have a lasting impact on the children they are raising.  Triple P is a recognised global evidenced based programme, and as such is highly regarded within many local authorities in UK. It is recognised by wellbeing, health and Government departments that parenting is one of the most important issues in our society today.

Triple P educates parents/carers and addresses issues such as, why do children and young people do the things they do? Why do parents/carers react in the way they do? What does a healthy relationship look like with a child and young person and how to get it? How to set and enforce boundaries, ensuring children’s and others safety is maintained. Triple P teaches nurturing and development, optimising children’s potential and maximising the opportunities for using it.

We know that the cumulative nature of children’s problems, means that further interventions are costly; Triple P for all parents and carers is available to access in a number of different formats.  In an ideal world, Brilliant Parents recommends that parents/carers have access to an hour-long seminar on parenting or a six-week course, both usually delivered in schools at a time and date to suit. With local authority commitment, Brilliant Parents and education settings can enable access to Triple P.

Triple P teaches and enhances parenting skills so that parents can take a more effective role with their children.
