Brilliant Parents is fundraising to deliver parenting classes

Being a parent is both a pleasure and a privilege, however parenting can be one of the most difficult jobs we have to learn and most of us do so whilst on the job. We know that many parents learn through trial and error and some feel disheartened, dis-empowered and unappreciated.

Therefore, Brilliant Parents feels it is important to not only support parents but to also celebrate the role of parents, starting with mothers at their second Annual Fundraising Mother’s Day Awards. The role of mothers has changed considerably over the years and parents are now increasingly under pressure to get the work life balance right and deliver both at home and in the work place. In addition, young people can be exposed to social ills and peer pressure that can have an adverse effect to them and the wider society, without the over-arching support and guidance from parents. We are holding a post-Mother’s Day event on 6 April 2019 in Central London, in order to raise funds to continue to deliver Triple P – Positive Parenting Program® classes. Keynote speaker, Baroness Doreen Lawrence will be speaking about the Challenges of Motherhood in the 21st Century.

If you are not able to attend, we would welcome a donation to help us meet our target of £5,000 to deliver a number of parenting classes to support parents in deprived areas across London. Any additional funds will go towards the continued programme development of delivering six to eight week courses. We are looking for large or small donations to help Brilliant Parents continue to deliver this invaluable work of supporting parents. Click the donate button below to make a donation.
